FLIGHT CAPTAIN' S COMMENTS    June 2009

Fellow Daedalians,
Thank all of you for your attendance at the May Luncheon. The induction of Jim Berg highlighted the event along with a great presentation by brothers Roger Craig and Al Brunner.
Hope that you had a nice Memorial Day Weekend and are now looking forward to the Fourth of July and the rest of the summer. We are rapidly approaching our monthly luncheon and I encourage you to attend. We are honored to have Colonel William B. Danskine, STRATCOM, and a Raven as our guest speaker. I think that you will enjoy his most interesting presentation. Strongly encourage you to attend at the Patriot Club and enjoying time with fellow Daedalians. Hope to see you there. So get you reservations in.

Know someone who “Places Nation above self” and is “worthy of the trust and confidence” of a Fellow Daedalian? Ask them to come and meet us, perhaps become a member of a great Fraternity of Military Pilots. For our active duty members, bring a guest and introduce them to this outstanding professional organization. For details on the eligibility requirements for becoming a Daedalian, you may visit the National Web Site (www.daedalians.org) and/or talk with Dick Purdum our Membership Chairman.
As in the past, I encourage each of you to bring a guest candidate who meets the membership requirements, but more importantly desires to become a Daedalian.
As always, you are reminded that any overdue flight dues should be paid dues for 2009 are being accepted. Payment may be made in person as you attend a Flight meeting or by mail to LeMay Flight Order of Daedalians, PO Box 13195, Offutt AFB, NE 68113. Flight dues are $20, annually. You are reminded that National dues are paid separately from Flight dues.
One final and continuing comment, we are looking for a volunteer to become our Chairman of Programs. Basically, this individual will head up our efforts to set up programs and guest speakers for our luncheons. Volunteer? – Give me a call.
