My Fellow Daedalians,
First of all, let me thank all of you for your attendance at the November
Scholarship Luncheon. I think it was a great event and speaks highly of your
outstanding organization. I would like to personally thank Jim Thomas for
all the outstanding work that he puts into the Scholarship Program that
makes it such a success each year.
Hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend and that you are looking
forward to a wonderful holiday season with family and friends. We are
rapidly approaching our monthly luncheon and I encourage you to attend.
Unfortunately, all attempts to have a guest speaker have failed and as of
this letter we will not have a guest speaker. But do not let that discourage
you from coming out to the Patriot Club and enjoying time with fellow
Daedalians. Hope to see you there. So get you reservations in.
Know someone who “Places Nation above self” and is “worthy of the trust and
confidence” of a Fellow Daedalian? Ask them to come and meet us, perhaps
become a member of a great Fraternity of Military Pilots. For our active
duty members, bring a guest and introduce them to this outstanding
professional organization. For details on the eligibility requirements for
becoming a Daedalian, you may visit the National Web Site
(www.daedalians.org) and/or talk with Dick Purdum our Membership Chairman.
As in the past, I encourage each of you to bring a guest candidate who meets
the membership requirements, but more importantly desires to become a
Daedalian.
As always, you are reminded that flight dues for 2008 are also “due” at this
time and dues for 2009 begin on 1 January. Payment may be made in person as
you attend a Flight meeting or by mail to LeMay Flight Order of Daedalians,
PO Box 13195, Offutt AFB, NE 68113. Flight dues are $20, annually. You are
reminded that National dues are paid separately from Flight dues.
One final and continuing comment, we are looking for a volunteer to become
our Chairman of Programs.
